The Show

George and I went up to the Cleveland Show on Saturday and saw many strange beasts. They were not as exciting as a massive inflatable slide, however.

Photographs

These are the first photographs from my trusty Olympus Mju II on here since the black and white ones in March. I'm having increasing difficulty getting them on here, and there are issues regarding development and the lab I use that are making me think about keeping my film photography out of the digital domain altogether. My favourite photos are always with this camera and the process of the film being developed digitally is disrespectful. Also, trying to get them online here necessitates a reduction in quality. So I think these may be the last from my camera on here. You're welcome to come round and look through my prints anytime. Hold 'em by the edges... that's right.

On The Way

George and I went up to the hills last Sunday and walked part of the Cleveland Way between Guisborough Forest and Skelton; one of my favourite walks, so nice to get George out there.

España Siempre

Inolvidable. Muchos gracias.

A lot of people said they didn't bother with the World Cup once England were knocked out. I thoroughly recommend that in 2014 you join me in not giving a shit about England. I've been utterly enthralled with this tournament, fascinated with the clockwork magic of Spain and finally completely behind them at the end. I will never forget this team and look forward to investigating Spanish football further - I mean, Christ, do they all play like that?

I have never, ever had footballers stir me in any way. Now I know what that feels like. I look forward to following the careers of the stars of this World Cup, particularly Germany's Oezil, Argentina's Messi, and Spain's David Villa, Xavi and Puyol.

I'll never forget the 2010 South Africa World Cup.
